| Foyer groups are a fun and easy way for small groups of parishioners to come together on a regular but informal basis to share a meal and conversation. Each parishioner was asked on the “time and talent” card whether they would be interested in joining a foyer group. Four families responded positively and they have been getting together on a quarterly basis in each other’s homes since the beginning of the year. The kids have enjoyed hosting their parish friends in their homes, and the adults have had a wonderful time socializing and learning more about each other. Foyer is a French word meaning “hearthside” which implies the warmth of a close, small group of friends or family members sharing a common love and concern for each other. We would love to expand this program in 2008! Please see Ruth Portela if you are interested in joining a foyer group next year.
